Cannot access Outlook

Since the recent update I cannot access my email.  Error reads:
- Receiving' reported error (0x800CCCA1): 'Your server does not support the connection encryption type you have specified'  Try changing encryption method.
Hope do I do this … it's not very intuitive.
Just feel in this day and age, it shouldn't be necessary for every user to find way to use a purchased product every time it's updated.
