Cannot access the internet following upgrade of AVG Internet Security

I apologize for the inconvenience caused. The recent update from AVG must have not removed the older version of AVG Protection from your computer and that must have caused this issue. Please open the control panel from your computer and check if you see two instance of AVG Protection installed. If so, please remove the older version of AVG Protection and check if you are able to access internet. If you still have any problem, please uninstall all the AVG programs from your control panel and check if everything works fine. If you have any difficulty, please let us, so that we can check the same and assist you further.

Recently the AVG Internet Security software on my Windows 10 Stream 8 tablet was updated to Version 17.4.3014. Following the upgrade I can no longer access sites on the internet although I can access email and the MSN news page. I also keep getting AVG message boxes related to the firewall popping up from time to time. Can the Community help me please - I cannot download any solution software on my tablet.
