Please let us know when you started experiencing this issue. Also, were you able to access the same website by enabling the AVG Secure VPN before?
We suggest you to change the location of your AVG Secure VPN to "Optimal Location" and check if the issue persists.

That seems to be the only site I cannot connect to while running vpn.  If I disconnect I can and needless to say that is not the point of having a vpn. How do I fix that.
