Cannot delete file from quarantine

Could you share a screenshot of the quarantine window where it clearly shows the file path?

Using the latest version of AVG antivirus free, I have one item in my quarantine. I have tried to delete this about 10 times, each time with the same result. I select it, hit the delete button, confirm my deletion, and then nothing happens. I can't even "uninstall" the program that the virus originated from since the system apparently requires the quarantined file in order to do so.

How can I remove this file from my computer?

No error message and the file is not present in its original location. Would it be a good idea to go to the quarantine directory and look for the file there? If so, where is the quarantine directory located?

Both my virus definitions and application are up to date, and I followed the instructions precisely, but the file doesn't appear to be deleted.

Did you  get any error message when you delete the file?

Please go to the file location and try to delete the file manually.
