Do you get any pop up from AVG while downloading?
May I know when you disable AVG Firewall you can download AVG Attachments?

Hi there
If I try to open any doc from an email attachement (gmail) or from a website (in other words any do not created by myself) it goes to my Reader which then stays black - does not open.
I have carefully gone through any articles here and have tried the suggested remedies - so far have not worked.
I have the full 2015 AVG Internet Security; my laptopn is a Samsung with Windows 8.
I never had this problem with the 2014 version of AVG.
I need to find and change the settings so that any doc I choose to download from an external source is possible (I don't want to diable firewall temporarily every time I want to see someone else's doc!).
