Hi Sallie,
We apologize for the inconvenience caused due to this issue. In order to fix the issue Please re-install the AVG Internet Security Unlimited.
To uninstall the AVG Please run the AVG Clear using https://share.avg.com/steam/PSP/AVG2017/AVG_Clear.exe, after running AVG clear please restart the PC.
After restart please follow the below link to start with the re-installation of  AVG Internet Security Unlimited.

trying to update my avg keep getting the server error message 

(we are unable to perform the selected action. we apolagise for the inconvenience.)
(error number: SIT_000002)
