Hello Avinash,
Just getting back to you on this computer.  I use this computer infrequently and here I am back on it.   The installation error code is pasted in this message. The error is on the initial installation of the product and not an upgrade.

Yes, I am attempting to install the free version of the software.  I have Windows 10 with the latest updates and do not have any other antivirus programs running on this computer.   The error occurs nontheless.

We'll certainly look into this. Are you receiving this error message when you try to update AVG? If yes, which AVG software are you trying to update and share a screenshot (http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot) of the error message.

I have a problem installing  an  update on my computer.  I get this error code:

has anyone had this problem before?

Yes, I am  trying to install AVG Antivirus free and the OS is Windows 10.  It is the latest update as well.   There are no antivirus programs running on the computer but I do have AVG TuneUp installed.
