Cannot uninstall AVG and AVG protection

I cannot uninstall AVG and AVG Protection. I made a mistake of stopping mid uninstall of AVG Protection since the uninstall was not progressing. Reason why I wanted to uninstall AVG Protection was that it could not scan past volmgrx.sys and was unable to pause or stop it. Everytime now I want to uninstall it, it wants to install it, and when I go through with the installation, it fails.
