Cannot update anti virus or link scanner components so not fully protected

Hello David. I request you to repair AVG Internet security to resolve this issue. Please follow the instructions below to repair AVG program.
1. Open the AVG Downloads page using this link http://www.avg.com/us-en/download
2. Scroll down to your product, and then click Paid version to download the installation file.
3. Run the downloaded file, and then click Repair. Thank you.
4. Click Next to start the repair process. This can take a few minutes and may close your browser windows.
5. When finished, a restart prompt will be shown. click Restart now (recommended) to restart your computer. Thank you.

Thank you so much for your easy to follow and helpful advice Sathish - I did as you suggested, AVG updated and I'm now fully protected again.  I'm very grateful!

AVG says "you are not fully protected" and that the computer and web components require updating. When I click on these components they inform that the anti virus and link scanner components need updating.  Clicking on "Fix now" brings up the message "AVG could not finish automatic state repair.  We weren't able to fix one or more components" and to "Go online to learn more about this issue".  Clicking on the online link gives no further information about this specific issue.  Clicking on "Update now" also has no effect.  Can anyone help me sort this out?  I'd be grateful for any suggestions!
