For some time now, I have been unable to open web pages with Secure VPN turned on. My work-around was to open a web site and then turn on the VPN. Even that doesn't help me now
I normally use Paris as my "location", but occasionally use London. It depends on what web site I want to open.
I would appreciate some advice.
Thanks
John

I don't get an AVG error message, just a normal "Web page can't be opened" message, including the suggestions about Firewall possible problems, Web site temporarily not available, and so on. Just as if I wasn't connected to the internet.
I am working via a laptop, using either Firefox or Chrome. I have the same problem with both systems with the VPN turned on.
We're sorry to know that, John.
Please clarify whether you experience this issue with a specific website or irrespective of sites.
For better clarity, please let us know the type of websites with which you're experiencing the issue (such as banking, online shopping, streaming sites).
Meanwhile, follow the below steps to check whether 'Kill switch' is enabled :
Open AVG Secure VPN - Menu - Settings - Network security.
Thank you for updating the status, John.
Glad to hear that disabling "Kill Switch" has resolved your issue.
Please feel free to write back to us if you need further assistance.
We'd be happy to help you. Have a great day!
