Can't install AVG AntiVirus Free 0xE0010058: Access is denied

Hello Shannon,
We regret the inconvenience caused. We would request you to remove previously installed AVG program traces from your system using AVG Remover tool and then try to reinstall AVG Internet Security.
Note:If you have installed any other Antivirus  programs like AVAST, NORTON, MCAFEE or KASPERSKY, Please uninstall it first to avoid conflicts when installing AVG.
Once you have uninstalled from your system,try to follow the steps which mentioned below.
Remover and Download:
1) To download AVG remover tool, please click on this link: http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-reinstall-AVG
2) Run the downloaded file and follow the onscreen instructions.

Hi All,

I am trying to install AVG AntiVirus Free on Windows 7 SP1 but keep receiving the error code "0xE0010058: Access is denied."

I have used the AVG Remover Tool to remove AVG Zen and attempted to install AntiVirus Free again but still no luck,

Any suggestions?

  1. Restart your PC when the restart option is displayed on the remover tool screen.
    4)Once you have logged into your PC after the restart, please go to C:\ drive and delete the "AVG REMOVER" folder manually.
    Please let me know, if you are facing any issues with installation.
