I have a direct connected HP printer to my laptop that will not print until/unless I close my VPN protection. The VPN interferes with communication to the printer regardless of wifi or connected print command; Does anyone have a secret that I may use to override this issue. Thanks for your help.
Hello Tanya,
Thank you for contacting AVG Community Support.
We understand that you are facing an issue with connecting printer when VPN protection enabled. We will certainly check and help you with this.
If you are using AVG Secure VPN for Windows, I request you enable 'Local Device Access' Settings by following below steps:
Open AVG Secure VPN and go to ☰ Menu ▸ Settings ▸General ▸Local Device Access ▸Enable local device access when using VPN.
You can use printer and shared drivers while using VPN, after enable this option.
If you are using AVG Secure VPN for Mac, I suggest you check the connected network is private network or public network. I suggest you try after changing the network into private.
If you are still facing any issue or any other concerns, please do contact us again.
Thank you and keep us updated.
