Can't Schedule Definition Updates to my liking?!?

Mike, Used to be available in the 'Free' version. Now only available in the 'paid for' version.

Schedule running
By default, the task is launched automatically (Run automatically) as soon as a new virus definition update is available. Unfortunately, for AVG AntiVirus Free Edition 2015, there is no personal settings of this task available. Should you like to have access to further and extended functionality of AVG paid products; then please visit AVG website (http://www.avg.com/) for AVG purchase information.

I love AVG, have been using it and touting it's awesomeness for more years than I can remember. This, however, is a real problem for me and makes me consider trying Avast.

Why can I NOT set my own schedule for the definition updates? I am an online gamer, and when it runs it glitches my game more times than not. I want to set anything AVG does to run in the wee hours of the morning when nothing else is happening on my computer.

Now, I see the options in the tools>advanced settings>schedules>definition update schedules… but they are greyed out and I cannot access them no matter what I try. Hell, I even just did a complete unistall and fresh install - no change. Is this simply not an available option in the free version. I don't get it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
