I uninstalled the program a couple of weeiks ago and ever since every time I try to use the laptop this window appears telling me to enter my AVG license key or to purchase a new one, and I can't get rid of it. I can close the window but 10 minutes later it appears again.
I cannot find anything on my computer listed as AVG. I installed the AVG removal tool and that did nothing. It said nothing is installed or does not exist, yet every 10 minutes the window pops up no matter what I'm doing. This AVG virus is as insidious as any virus I've encountered.
It is not a good selling point to make people to want to use the product when it is impossible to remove it if you want, which IS MY RIGHT AS IT IS MY COMPUTER, not yours.
I'm to the point where I may have to wipe my hard drive and reinstall Windows to get rid of this. Why do you do this to people?

Thank you. I had ran the remover tool already but it was an older version I found online. Using your link it worked and AVG is now gone totally.
The thing is that until recently I liked AVG. But when the 2015 version came ouit, it practically slowed my computer down to a crawl. It would take sometimes one minute or more for any program to open, and it kept telling me that other programs I had been using for a long time were viruses.
Will that problem be fixed in the new version (2016) of AVG? I might consider purchasing it. But my last purchase was a waste of money as my computer stopped functioning.
Thanks,
Scott N.
I couldn't take a "screenshot" while the AVG window was open, but when I closed it it allows me to take a screenshot?
So I took a photo using my iPad, attached.
thanks,
Scott N.
