Let us know the version of AVG you have installed.
Open AVG Antivirus -> Menu -> About -> check its version, it should be 18.8.
As I mentioned in my last message to you - I am trying to do what you - I click answer and then it asks me o put an image in - it rejects my image- I have a screen shot on a docx document - it doesn't accept it
If you can't make this simple then I can't use the AVG service and I need a refund so that I can use another service

Hi I keep trying to update my anti virus - [paid version) I click the "fix" button and a pop up says it is updated but i keep getting a picture of the anti virus shield with update required written on it - can't figure out how to print screen to show you

Please follow the below steps to fix this issue. We have to uninstall old version of AVG using AVG Remover tool:

After restart, go to Run window (press windows key and R key simultaneously) and type the following comments to delete the folders manually.
1. Type “Temp” and press enter, remove all the files.
2. “%temp%” and remove all the files.
3. %appdata% - Remove all the AVG folders.
4. %programdata% - Open the AVG folder and remove the old files.
5. Type C: and press enter, delete AVG remover folder.
Please go to c: drive-> program files and delete the AVG files.

I can't find Menu either - if you can email me to help that will be more helpful. otherwise can I please cancel my subscription? It automatically renewed in October and told me that I was good to go and nothign needed to be altered - if AVG is going to make use of their anti-virus difficult because it automatically gouges money out of me every year but doesn't automatically update then I need to cancel and go to Kapersky which is half the price and recommended by many of my IT friends

It looks like you still have the old version which is why you couldn't find the options that we mentioned here.
