To completely remove the traces of AVG, we can use AVG Clear & Remover tools.
You can follow the steps in this link to run both the tools & check if it allows you to update windows.

Need assistance please. A few years ago I uninstalled AVG (pro version) for another anti-virus app. When attempting to upgrade to the latest Windows 10, a notice was posted that AVG needed to be manually uninstalled before the Windows 10 upgrade could finalize. Problem, I do not see AVG listed as an installed app within my Apps & features listing. What do I need to do in order to upgrade my Windows 10 and/or completely uninstall AVG? Thanking in advance for any assistance.
