Chrome not loading

We regret for any inconvenience caused to you. Did you experience this issue after running the Tuneup on your PC? Please follow the instructions below to restore the changes made by the AVG PC TuneUp program :
1. Open AVG PC TuneUp program.
2. Click on the Rescue Center on the right bottom corner.
3. Click on Undo Changes.
4. Select and restore the changes made by the AVG PC TuneUp program.

I've recently purchased AVG Ultimate. On one of the devices I installed it on, a PC with W10, Chrome suddenly stopped loading pages. Whatever URL I type, I get a dark grey screen and the page simply won't load. I have repeatedly uninstalled with an uninstaller Google Chrome and re-installed it, but the problem persists. I've also downloaded Chrome Clean-Up Tool, however, when choosing to run the application, I get a message that the application did not initiate properly, error code 0xc0000005.  I was also recommended to download Combo Fix, but I've read alarming comments about its complexity and I am reluctant to even try it.
Could this be related to AVG's Firewall protection?
On other browsers, like edge and Friefox, I don't yet experience any issues.
