For some unknown reason, when I log in to a number of subscription web sites (like Facebook), I get an email message saying that I have logged in from an unknown device. I suspect one of the AVG products is causing my device location to be hiddend. Any ideas?Z
My concern is that I am not used to having to login with password every time to apps like Facebook and X. I used to just stay logged in, even after closing the PC and opening again next day… Some setting has been changed to cause this, and I cannot find what it is. By the way, I did an AVG deep scan, and everythin is clean. I also get messages from some sites asking if I have logged in on a new device. They expect me to always login from the one device (which I do), but this device (PC) seems to be reset to look like a new device every time I close down the PC, and re-start the next day. What setting would cause this? AVG VPN is turned OFF so it's not that.
Thank you for writing us back,
Upon reviewing you screenshot it seems your X account is logged in in Edge browser.
Have you logged in X account edge browser? Usually X will send log in report everytime when you log in.
If you haven't logged in please change the password for X account and report the incident with X.
Also, Please run full scan in AVG and check for threats.
Make sure AVG is up to date and working fine.
- The problem is on my PC/laptop
- Running Microsoft Windows version 10
- Installed AVG products: Antitrack, Breachguard, Driver Updater, AVG Internet Security, AVG Tuneup, AVG Secure VPN (turned OFF).
Hope that helps track down the problem
