Clarification on AVG Free: Unified Engine & Full-Powered Ransomware Shield vs Paid Version

Hi everyone,

I have two specific technical questions regarding AVG AntiVirus Free compared to AVG Internet Security (Paid):

  1. Unified Scanning Engine: Does AVG AntiVirus Free use the exact same core scanning engine, cloud database, and detection logic as the paid Internet Security version, or is the engine limited or throttled in the free tier?

  2. Full Ransomware Protection: Is the Ransomware Shield in the Free version completely identical in power, behavior monitoring, and feature capabilities to the one included in the paid tier, or are certain advanced ransomware protection modules restricted only to paid users?

I would appreciate a clear technical clarification from community members or AVG moderators.
