Compatibilitychecksvc.exe process eating alot of cpu

this process eats a lot of cpu and when I pull up task manager i have several of these pop up and start eating my cpu usage. I have avg antivirus 2013 up to date and avg tune up up to date and ran ful scans but still having the issue. is there something else that can take care of this? it is on a windows xp laptop

Zack, Have you given any thought & consideration towards upgrading your AVG?. You're actually 2 versions behind the latest AVG 2015.
