I operate Windows 10.  About 1 month ago the computer scans froze at 1% and couldn't be cleared. This applied to scheduled scans and initiated complete computer scans.  On contacting AVG technical support initially I was told the problem was caused by Microsoft Windows 10 software being incompatible with AVG software. I was told Microsoft were putting in an update to fix the problem.  Nothing happened for about a week then the scans started to work correctly again. I thought the update had happened but the problem reoccurred. On contacting AVG technical support again, I was informed  a re-installation of the AVG software would fix the problem.  I was also told the Microsoft update was still coming but the service technician couldn't say when. The re-installation was done remotely by an AVG support person and the scans were okay again - FOR ABOUT 1 WEEK!!!  The frozen scans have happened again - 3rd time!.  Unfortunately I have signed up to a 2 year package with AVG which at the moment is worthless.  I have been told by AVG the incompatibility problem is with the Microsoft software and have heard Microsoft say the problem is with the AVG software. Whoever is at fault, IT ISN'T ME and I'm the one suffering.  Unfortunately I have just paid for a 2 year subscription with AVG which at the moment is worthless.  This incompatibility problem needs to be fixed promptly, and if Microsoft isn't moving on the issue, AVG needs to modify its own software to fix the problem once and for all and promptly!  Anyone else with this problem and what should be done?
