Conflict between Phone provided AVG and purcgased AVG

You can activate your paid subscription on pre-installed AVG app and that's why we recommended you to uninstall new one. 

Have you logged in to Play store using the email address you used to purchase AVG subscription?

My new Sony Xperia XZ1 compact phone comes with AVG protection for xperia as a preinstalled app. Once connected to the internet and my previous apps were reinstalled my purchased copy of AVG for android was also installed and I am apparently unable to synchronize the two products and therefore they are both providing warning, scanning etc. I am unable to remove the xperia version. Is there any method to combine the two products into one single point of protection.

Why should i have to waste my purchased copy and then spend additional funds to "upgrade" the installed version to the same level as my subscription paid version !!!
