Confusing renewal and product info

Hello Joe,
Let me clarify the things for you.
Zen interface has been removed from AVG. Hence, it is not possible to enter the invitation code and activate AVG subscription. You can log into AVG My Account in each device and download AVG product from there. Else, we will send you an e-mail with complete set of installation steps. Shall I?

You have the below active subscriptions registered with your account:
- AVG Ultimate valid till March 26, 2020. AVG Ultimate does include AVG Internet Security and AVG PC TuneUp for multiple windows PC and Android devices.
- AVG Password protection (for multiple windows PC's) valid till July 25, 2019
- AVG Secure VPN (for windows PC's) valid till July 15, 2020. This product can be installed on multiple windows PC's but can be active on 1 device at a time
- AVG Secure VPN multi-device product valid till March 26, 2019. This can be installed/activated on 5 devices (Windows PC's, Mac, Android and iOS devices) simultaneously.

AVG Secure VPN is the only duplicate purchase under your account. However, the number of devices to be used is different. According to our refund policy, we could process refund for orders that are less than 30 days from the date of purchase. In your case, AVG Secure VPN Multi-device product is eligible for a refund.

If you wish to cancel and get a refund for your recent renewal of AVG Secure VPN, let us know.

Pretty much every year, when it is time to renew, you screw me. Either I wind up with duplicate subscriptions/products or one of the products is a superset of the other.  And now it is harder to get products with 'unlimited downloads' installed on my other devices. In the past, I would just click a button and it would send an email to my wife or kid. They'd then open the email on each of the devices they wanted to install on. I see no such options now. It looks like I have to personally log onto my account on every device, myself. The core software itself is good, but it feels like someone got greedy and ruined the entire experience.

What are my questions?
1) How do I get refunded for the excess products that I bought but do not need?
2) How do I keep this from happening again next year?
3) Did you really make installing the software on other devices that annoying or am I missing something?

I'm sorry if this came off a little heated, but I'm just glad I was able to let go of the caps key.
