I have paid AVG Internet Security.
I previously submitted a question about receiving pop-up messages when I start my computer advising that my license is activated and I can install the AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition - but this has already been installed. When I click on "install now" - see photo link - another pop-up message comes up indicating the AVG User Interface is not responding -see 2nd photo link- so I wait for it to respond but nothing happens and I then close the program.

Kindly open your Control Panel & check if you can locate AVG Internet Security or AVG Antivirus Free or both of the programs installed.
If you have both of them installed, please uninstall the AVG Antivirus Free & check if the issue persists.
Also, kindly check & mention the program version of the AVG program installed on your computer.
