Customer Confusion

Thank you.
I have been a customer for a number of years, initially with AVG Anti-Virus and last year I took out IP Protection. On 13 Feb 20 a charge to my credit account for £44.99 was made by Digital River. When I queried this with my credit card issuer I was assured that Digital River was acting on behalf of AVG. I am now being asked by AVG if I want to sign up for AVG Anti-Virus. I changed my (email address removed) in August 2017 and I informed you of this at that time, since when you have been contacting me at my gmail account. I am therefore confused as when I tried to access my account to query why I have not been covered for a further 2 year period following the charge of £44.99 in Feb. The response was that there was no customer registered under my gmail account. Does this indicate that Digital River is not acting on your behalf and that I have paid them but received nothing in return?
Yours
