I don't want any further action towards the person who did this. I just wanted but to raise awareness. My wish is that this doesn't happen to other people. Staff should only look at the software in question during the remote connection. They should not be checking other AVG software just to try and make a sale.
I’d like to raise awareness about a customer service issue that happened to me today. I got assistance with my product AVG Tuneup, and I am grateful to the representative that he was able to remotely connect and resolve the issue.
But he also looked at my antivirus to find out which subscriptions I was missing to offer me the sale. I didn’t authorize him to do that!
I am quite happy with ABG products, but this kind of customer service doesn’t make AVG justice. I am actually very annoyed that this person was snooping around my computer unauthorised.
