Customer Support

Hi Henry,

We're sorry for the inconvenience caused.
We do have our support through channels like chat, phone, Facebook and Twitter.
Do you mean to say that a driver update suggested by AVG Driver Updater program is being detected as a threat by AVG Internet Security program?
If so, could you mention the name of update that was suggested and provide the screenshot of AVG threat detection popup by clicking on "see details?
You can post the screenshot by clicking on 'Image' symbol from 'Answer' field.
Thank you.

Why after spending as damn much money as I have on AVG products, is it impossible to simply click a link and say, "Hey support... Your product keeps downloading a brokeass Driver and trying to install it on my computer, then quarantining it and saying it is malware. Then as soon as it quarantines it, it pops up and tells me AVG has my damn driver AGAIN and it repeats, over and over and over, unless I tell it to cancel, and then the next time I use my computer it starts this process all over again. You might want to address this problem."

But, oh heII no, I have to sign in, click CONTACT US, and go to the Community, and sign in AGAIN, and then ask questions of the community, AFTER determining that "Your software is trying to install a brokeass driver, is determined NOT FOUND in the database full of questions asked, BECAUSE IT ISN'T A QUESTION!

If you'd like to know which brokeass driver it is CONTACT ME!

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience, Rocky.
As this isn't the usual behavior of Driver Updater & AVG program, we need to forward it to the next level of support. In order to do so, we need few logs from your computer. An email including the steps to collect & upload the logs has been sent to you. Please follow those steps to upload the logs & let us know.

Thank you! Why can't there simply be a link that goes to Tech Support, rather than tell you to call. Or, send you to Facebook or send you to Twitter or send you here, why must one chase their tale round and round in circles. It's a simple process!

At any rate... Driver updater has repeatedly for the last 4 - 5 days attempted to install the Intel Wireless Bluetooth driver. And,

File - 007F4CBA9A99713BFF4101332456AAA11200000000052C4F76.exe

Has been quarantined for threat -

Win32:Malware-gen

Located -

C:\ProgramData\AVG Netherlands B.V\DriverApp\Downloads

And, as stated, as soon as it quarantines it, Updater pops back up offering to install it again, and it does the same thing over.
