Trying to deep clean but phone keeps saying AVG Tune Up "off"

Hello Barton,
The issue might be with Android system files conflict with AVG. We request you to reset AVG Cleaner app once and check for the situation. This will reset the configuration of the app to defaults. To do so, navigate to the location mentioned below.

Device Menu -> Settings -> Apps/Application Management -> AVG Cleaner app-> Tap on clear cache and clear data -> Force stop the app .

Restart the device once.

Did not work. I tried what you said. Did not work. I even uninstalled the app, re-installed and same thing. Still says AVG Cleaner off. Shows a hand on the button. Tried everything I can think of.
