Ok, I know this is a dumb question but I can not seem to get this done. I have 2 other laptops and had no problems. For whatever reason I can not get a shortcut or desktop icon to open the program on my newest laptop. I like to place them in my taskbar. Everytime I click on anyting it gives me an icon that looks like a folder, not the AVG icon and it goes to the program files or AVG Zen. I just want a simple link to open the AVG program so i can scan and check for updates. Should be a piece of cake, but so far, I am totally frustrated! Had enless problems getting the program installed on the new laptop as well, but it is finally in. UGH!
