Thank you for contacting us here. Appreciate your efforts so far to disable AVG. You can disable AVG protection from the system tray icon at the bottom right hand corner of your PC. Right click on AVG icon there to see a small control window. On that, drag the 'Protection' button to off to disable AVG protection.

In the new free AVG antivirus version, is there an option to disable it temporarily, and where ?
In the previous version it was in the menu.
In the previous version, If I had sometimes to restore the system, it was not a successful restore, the errors reported that antivirus caused this trouble and to disable it, after disabeling the restore was OK.
Could not find this option in the new program.
