Does Free AVG scan for all of the same viruses as Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool

Normally AVG would do exactly the same thing however i would recommend scanning once a week.

I have a list of viruses that the Microsoft update tool "Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool" scans for. Before downloading it, as they recommend of course, I wanted to know if my free version of AVG already scans for ALL the same viruses, or does this MS tool scan for one or more that my free AVG does not. I will provide their list if requested, but you can find it on the following link; http://www.microsoft.com/security/pc-security/malware-families.aspx . Please review their list, or request a copy from me, and let me know if I should download and run their tool, or if doing a HD scan with AVG once a month as usual will accomplish the same thing.
