Doxillion screwed up my pdf files. How do i get them back

I am having the exact same issue.  It's such a shame I see the question asked twice above now I am the third and there is no answer to the question.  Instead the question is answered with questions which should not be done.  Will anyone answer how to remove this program so I may return to Adobe and something that works quickly for me?  I can't even tell if I am in the right place to post this as a question.

I inadvertently download some software that converted all my pdf files so I cannot open them. It's called Doxillion. How do I get my pdf files back, and why is this virus getting past avg?
