Ebay reverting to AVG Yahoo error handling

Just to confirm I am seeing this as well, and the fault lies in the Web Tuneup add-on.   Disabling that stops the problem.

So, is this issue going to be resolved, as per the comment of 28th December?

It is still happening, I have had ebay repeatedly divert Mozilla to what appears to be exactly the same AVG/Yahoo search page as Martin Duncan had in November last year, even down to the search term pre-inserted of "pic".

Have had to uninstall AVG tune-up and disable the Mozilla Add on which seems to have stopped things for now, but what protection have I lost because of that?

It really does not say much about a product that you have to disable parts of it to stop it hijacking your browser. I had been looking at a multi-PC licence for AVG to replace an expired competitor's licence for my other PCs, but that is not looking like a good plan now, which is a shame because, apart from this, I do prefer AVG.

Anyone from AVG got any update on progress about fixing this?

I had same problem with EBAY.DE website. Any search result was forwarded to Yahoo search site with results 'pics'.
Uninstalled 'AVG Web TuneUp' and it helped… Now i can search on ebay websites.
So AVG team, please check this case. I can send URL address i was redirected to.
