EMail Shield is Blocking Outlook Emails (Sending & Recieving)

We apologize for the inconvenience caused. Please follow the below instructions, restart your computer once & check  if the issue persists:

Open AVG Internet Security, and navigate to > Menu > Settings > Basic Protection > Email Shield > Untick the "Scan outbound emails (SMTP)" checkbox.

Keep us updated.

Within the past three weeks Im started getting the following error from MS Outlook: 

"Task '- [My Email Account] Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC1A) : 'Your server does not support the connection encryption type you have specified. Try changing the encryption method. Contact your mail server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP) for additional assistance.'

When I turn off Email Shield, the problem goes away.

Is there a solution?  I'm ready to uninstall AVG.
