Hello Em.
I will help you with the necessary information.
This issue doesn't seems to be related with AVG. If every email gets blocked, it may be due to AVG Email Shield components. However, in this case only a particular recipient is having problem.
If you suspect AVG might be causing this, we request you to temporarily disable AVG Protection on your computer and check if your relation receives email from you without any problem.
To disable AVG temporarily, please right click on the AVG icon present at the bottom right corner of your desktop(System Tray) and use the slider to "Disable Protection".
My husband and I found out about a week ago that any email sent from our desktop @bigpond.net.au mailboxes to my sister in South Africa shows as "sent" but never arrives in her @telkomsa.net mailbox. Our email addresses have all been the same for years, we are listed as safe senders and safe recipients in each other's mailboxes, and we are not in each other's junk mailboxes or blocked senders' lists. So this is inexplicable. We can receive email from her and can send and receive to everyone else. The problem of our mail not being delivered only applies to her email address. I have spent considerable time speaking to bigpond technical support persons and she has done the same there with telkom. They have no answer for this mail delivery malfunction. Is it possible that AVG could be filtering out emails sent to her @telkomsa.net mailbox from our @bigpond.net.au mailboxes?
Thanks very much for the suggestion. My AVG icon is in the taskbar and when I right click on it no slider appears. Sorry this is probably a silly question but how would I find the "system tray" and slider you mention? (I am not very PC savvy!)
Our pleasure, Em. Please check if the email is delivered to your sister & let us know. Meanwhile, please ensure that the AVG protection is re-enabled by following the same steps (Right click on AVG icon in system try & enable protection), as it isn't recommended to have the protectioin disabled.

Thank you very much Avinash and Karthikeyan. I have now located it, done as suggested and sent an email to my sister with AVG off. I will have to wait and see if it makes any difference. Thanks again!
