Emsisoft false positive?

I'm not exactly sure what you're getting at. I've used Emsisoft AntiMalware and AVG Free together for years. They've both been installed on this particular computer since 11/2012. I'm more inclined to think that an update to signatures has caused AVG to suddenly think of these Emsisoft drivers as an issue. I would think that files for known good applications would be white-listed.

Hi Eric,

As Alan already mentioned - it's not wise to use more AV softwares on one computer. It may cause system instability, decrease in the security level or any other unexpected issue.

However you can report the file at samplesubmit.avg.com.

Thanks

I think I'm getting a false positive. An overnight scan identified some files in the Emisoft AntiMalware directory as hidden drivers.

"";"Hidden driver, C:\Program Files (x86)\Emsisoft Anti-Malware\a2ddax64.sys";"Infected"
