Hi All,
After installing AVG Ultimate my PC is unable to connect to the Network Epson Scanner, with the following error messages.
"Unable to connect to network scanner. Check scanner, network and connection settings."
I have tried resolving the issue with Epson help, however, have been unsuccessful.
Hello Garrie,
We will check and help you to resolve it.
Could you please confirm whether you are using Wireless scanner or Wired scanner?
Have you tried to disable AVG Secure VPN and AVG Internet Security program separately and check the status?

Hi Dinesh,
Would you please clarify what you mean by "individually/separately" in your sentence disabling each AVG program individually/separately?
As I mentioned I have tried ALL the AVG shields off, so NO protection.

Hi Dinesh,
Please clarify what you mean by disabling each AVG program individually/separately?
As I mentioned in my earlier email, I disabled ALL AVG shields, with no success in connecting to the scanner.
We're sorry that you feel this way, Garrie.
Let me clarify this for you, our support asked you to disable AVG programs one by one and check for the status instead of disabling all the AVG programs at the same time.
Did you configure the Firewall settings as per the recommendation?
1, Open AVG Internet Security and click the Hacker Attacks tile.
2, Click Firewall options ▸ Network profiles - Change all the Networks to "Private" - Click OK to confirm it.
1, Open the AVG Internet Security user interface and click the Hacker Attacks tile.
2, Click Settings (the gear icon) in the top-right corner.
3, Enable the "Internet connection sharing mode".
4, Click on System Rules - Enable the "Allow File and Printer sharing" and "Allow remote desktop connections to this computer" - Click OK to confirm it. Please make sure all the tasks are enabled.
If the issue persists, please uninstall AVG Internet Security.
Check the status and keep us informed here.
