Hi,
I got an out of the blue pop up as follows:
Window header: Authorization
Msg body
"An attempt has been made to enter a protected area of AVG (scan settings). This may be a legitimate action, but could be the result of a malware attack.
Do you want to continue?
(Select cancel unless you are performing action intentionally)
Password: ................................................... "
Prior to this pop up, i'd not tried to enter any protected area of AVG or made an attempt to change any settings.
I chose to cancel then sought AVG support via the website. I was advised to uninstall & reinstall.
When tried to uninstall, the same msg popped up. I downloaded & installed the current AVG free but upon restart it asked me to uninstall but the prior issue recurred.
Any suggestions?
