Esurfbiz malware

Dear Mohammed,

Thank you so much for replying so quickly.  Sadly, your advice has not, as yet, worked.

I started Mozilla Firefox in safe mode, and the trouble was not visible.  I then examined all my plugins but none seemed new or strange.  However, as soon as I started Firefox in normal mode the problem was back straight away.  I have also encountered it on Windows Explorer and Google Chrome.  I do not know what to do now. Can you help?

In my innocence I thought that AVG could be reset to the values it has when it first arrived so I could run a scan that would catch the malware that I let in previously (and which it therefore has recorded as ‘safe’).  If this can't be done, what can?

Very best wishes,

Charles

Hi Charles,
I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. I would request you to follow the below link to get a rid of this issue from your computer :http://avgread.me/1G1kCfT. Please feel free to get back to us for any issues with AVG.
Thank you.

I mistakenly let a piece of malware through my AVG protection.  The result is that when I open my browser it goes to a 'homepage' with the following url

Homepage

It often opens a web page I do not want when I try to  open a new tab.  It appears to be irritating rather than dangerous, but I want to get rid of it.

How can I get AVG to stop this happening - ie to reverse my unwise decision to let it in?

Charles
