Hello Matthew,

After the AVG update this morning, none of my Excel Macro enabled files work. I don't even get the option to enable macros. There was a post about this last year, but the firewall solution proposed didn't work for me. A quick answer would really help me keep working today.
Balasubramanian,
I have two full versions of AVG, one on each Windows 7 PC. As far as I can tell, the only program that updated this morning was AVG. Can you please check again with your developers, as I believe there is a strong probability that the AVG update caused this issue.
Thank you,
Matt

Rajarajan,
So sorry, it does look like the problem was in the Excel files that I had. I am working with my developer to find out what happened. Sorry to bother you all with this, and thank you for your support.
Matt
Thank you for the detailed information.
If the issue persists even after disabling AVG antivirus then the issue is not with AVG.
Do you have the trial version of AVG PC tuneup installed?
Hello Matthew,
We can certainly understand your concern. I have just sent you an email with the instructions to get connected with our senior technical support team. Please follow the email instructions to get additional support to identify the exact issue. Thank you.
I just tried to chat with Kishore - and was disconnected.
I did try disabling AVG - it did not make a difference - Excel Macros do not show up, nor is there any option to enable them.
I moved the Excel file to a computer that did not have AVG, and the macros still work.
