Hello G W,
There is no paid version of AVG Antivirus in Mac.
Currently, the exclusion option isn't available on the Antivirus interface.
Until then, you can add exception by following below mentioned steps:
edit file /Library/Application Support/AVGAntivirus/config/com.avg.proxy.excl
add line with exception, example *avg.com https (space between *avg.com and https needs to be done by tab. button)
After editing, MAC needs to be restarted.
Feel free to contact us if you need further help.
Thank you for waiting, G W.
The exceptions are in the "com.avg.deamon.whls" file and you need a SHA256 hash of the whitelisted file (folders are not supported). Also, exceptions manager should be available in the next version.
I am looking for instructions for adding exclusions to the Mac version of AVG Free. Is this an option available only for the paid version?
The lines in this file appear to be referencing internet domains. The file I wish to exclude is an application: /Applications/Tweak and Tuneup.app
The file "/Library/Application Support/AVGAntivirus/config/com.avg.fileshield.conf" seems to have an exclusions section.
Thank you for waiting, G W.
