Failed due to technical problem

Up to a few days ago my AVG Secure VPN was working without any problems.
It now loads and runs for a few minutes and then displays a message saying it ran into a Technical problem
Sorry AVG Secure VPN service is not responding.
Clicking Restart Service sometimes works, but fails again later with the same response.
I have now unistalled and re-installed 3 times and the problem still occurs
I have a subscription for this product which does not expire until 25/2/2020 and is listed in my subscriptions and active but AVG internet security does not seem to recognise this as it repeatedly asks me to purchase it
Could you please provide a solution.
