Failed Installation of AVG Internet Security (paid version)

Hello Norman,
Sorry to hear that. Please restart your PC once and install AVG Internet Security as per the instructions mentioned below:
1. Download the installation file by using this link http://files-download.avg.com/inst/mp/Antivirus_Free_1817.exe (this will install AVG Free Antivirus).
2. To activate AVG Internet Security, please open AVG->Antivirus->Menu->About->Select 'Subscriptions' tab in left top corner->Click on “Enter license” ->Fill the license number and click “ ENTER LICENSE”->Update will start automatically. Then AVG Internet Security will get activated in your PC.
If the issue persists, please share the screenshot of error message to assist further.

I renewed my AVG Internet Security in May 2017 and everything was set up okay, but my laptop needed repair and I am now having to reinstall all my programs, including AVG.  I have a 2 year contract.
During the installation process I got the following message: "INSTALLATION FAILED.  Sorry we ran into a problem during initialization.  Find out what might have gone wrong: 0xC0070652: General error 0x0652."
I can find nothing to advise me what to do next.  Help please!

Hello Norman,

I appreciate your efforts in installing AVG program. Please follow the article https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en&urlName=Download-and-install-AVG-Protection to activate AVG program with the license number. If you have logged in with AVG Myaccout already on AVG dashboard, please click log out and then try to Enter the license.

If you still face any difficulties, please contact us I will help you to get connected to our technical team.

Thanks for the suggestions in previous answers. I'm still having difficulty moving beyond the "Subscription" tab because the screen shown in the article recommended in the response from Bhuvaneswari is not the same as the one that I am getting.
I have still failed to figure out how to load a screenshot that is larger than 1MB, so I will describe the screen.  The ABOUT screen has the "Subscription" box as shown, but there is no option of clicking on a panel that invites me to put in my license key.  The box on the screen says:  "This PC is logged into the following AVG account: n.richardson@stran.ac.uk" - then the options given are: "Log out | Manage subscription". (I have tried both of these - the first warns that my AVG will no longer be linked to my PC, so I didn't click it; the second just takes me to your website.)  There is also a box below this that simply says "Expires: ? 08/29/2017" with an option of "Renew subscription".  The expiry date clearly does not relate to my license, which was for 2 years from May 2017.  I'm guessing that it relates to the "AVG Free" that I was advised to install in the first answer I received.
Please advise where I can go from here!
Thank you.
Norman Richardson

Hello Norman,

Thank you for the detailed information. Once you click on "Subscription" tab, you can see an option "Logout". Please click on the same and sign out from your AVG MyAccount, after this you can see an option to enter your license number. If you face any difficulties, I have emailed you a link to get connected to the AVG remote support. Please follow the same and the remote team will activate the AVG Internet Security for you.

Thank you Abirami for your quick response to my intial question.
I have followed your guidance and have now successfully installed the AVG Free Antivirus.  It was not easy to follow the next step, however. After installing AVG Free, I was not sure what you meant by "please open AVG" - where should I find it? The sequence didn't seem to work, even though I did eventually find a "Subscription" tab. But in this tab there was nothing to click on that would enable me to enter the license.  I have a screenshot of the screen where I finally got stuck, but your system won't allow me to send it because it is more than 1MB.
I would welcome any further guidance you may be able to offer.
Many thanks.
Norman

Norman, Quote "I have a screenshot of the screen where I finally got stuck, but your system won't allow me to send it because it is more than 1MB"… Have a look @ this AVG article (http://avgclick.me/uploadtoftpserver).
