Failkure to connect to my Sonos sound system

I recently switched from Avast  to AVG because of their multi device deal but I'm unable now to connect with my Sonos system. I contacted Sonos technical department and they took control of my cpmputer for nearly 2 hours in an attempt to find out why Sonos can't find the Music Library on my PC (failure to connect) and eventually decided that the problem was with AVG and that I should contact AG to see if there is a reason for this. Even when we turned off all the AVG protections it wouldn't connect to Sonos apparently because AVG was still running in the back ground. Has any body else had a similar problem? I feel I'll have to cancel AVG if I can't solve this problem.

Hi Steve,

We're glad to look into this & help you.
Let's first confirm if this caused by AVG or not.
Did you follow these steps to turn off the AVG protection temporarily?
Temporarily disabling AVG AntiVirus protection (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Disable-AVG-Antivirus)

If yes, kindly use the AVG Clear to remove the AVG completely from your device using the below link :
Uninstalling AVG AntiVirus using AVG Clear (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Uninstall-AVG-software-Clear-Remover)

Restart the PC and check if you are able to connect to your Sonos Sound System.
Keep us posted.
