False positive: incoso.co.za flagged URL:Phishing

Hi,

>

> Avast (and AVG, same engine) Web Guard is blocking https://incoso.co.za/ as “URL:Phishing,” flagging both the homepage and favicon.ico. This is a false positive.

>

> incoso.co.za is the official site of INCOSO (Inhouse Conference Solutions), a legitimate event-management company in Bellville, South Africa, trading since 2007. It’s a standard brochure site: about, services, portfolio, testimonials, and a simple contact form. There is no login, no password field, and no payment page, so no phishing surface.

>

> Our working theory on the cause: Avast Web Shield was running on the machine of the administrator who pushed the site live. We think it sampled the site during deployment, in the short window before it was fully configured, and auto-submitted that incomplete state to your database, which then classified it. The finished live site has been secure since launch. We’ve never had this happen before.

>

> The domain isn’t listed by any other reputation service, and our earlier form submission got no response. Could a moderator pass this to the URL team to re-scan the live site and whitelist it? Happy to verify ownership.

Hello @MahmudBeard,

Thank you for raising this!

The reported URL was manually checked, and based on the findings, the detection was removed. The website is now marked as clean in the AVG virus database. This change may take up to 1 hour to take full effect. Please accept my apology for the inconvenience.

If the detection persists after 1 hour, please update the AVG virus database and try again.
