I had posed the question regarding AVG protection… I tried everything but each time I restarted my computer it still showed 'Not protected'. I did go to uninstall and AVG did offer either to uninstall or repair - I chose repair but still no solution. In the end I did uninstall and then reinstalled and that solved the problem thank goodness!
