I bought AVG Protection a few days ago and installed it on my HP laptop. Before that I used Kaspersky which I uninstalled. I am using Windows 7 Home Basic.
The AVG programme installed and all seemed in order. I ran a full scan in safe mode and found in the report mostly "not scanned. is OK" after the file names. Two files were named as having the HELA virus. is OK again… (see below)
Since restarting in normal mode and trying to do a full scan in normal mode (which ended up with blue screen) I get the message:
You are not fully protected! Firewall error!
In a new window I am told that firewall cannot start due to a corrupted configuration and I need to click reset to default.
When I do this I am asked if I want to do this, When I click YES , it runs for a little while and I am back at the same window: ! Firewall cannot start due to a corrupted configuration…
What can be my next step?
