Hello 

Thank you so much for your quick respnce. I did get windows remote desktop working without having to modify the AVG firewall. I have been using AVG for many many years. I use to use the free version and I liked it so much that I purchased it for all my computers.

Hello Mike,

Thank you for providing the instructions.
Have you disabled AVG once and then checked whether you were able to connect to the PC through remote?
If not, please follow the instructions mentioned in this link: http://avgread.me/1GnMD3N to disable AVG temporarily and do let us know the status of it.
Also check for the Firewall mode of AVG by following the instructions mentioned in this link: http://avgread.me/1dVjGAf and then set your Firewall to Automatic and apply the changes.

Hi All

Has anyone figured out how to open the AVG firewall for windows 10 remote desktop - the computer I want to remote to in on my home LAN. So far I have created a rule in system services for remote desktop server and yes I have enabled it in windows also. I still cant remote into the remote computer. what am I missing please
