I got a notification that AVG had moved a threat identified as “INI:Shortcut-inf [Trj]” to quarantine. This was a link to an old blog page, I checked the webpage with google safe browsing and it reported no issues.
I submitted this for analysis a few days ago and am wondering if this was a real threat?
I’ve been in that same uncertain spot before, so I get why you’re asking. Since you’ve already submitted it, I’d just leave it quarantined for now rather than restoring it, and see what AVG comes back with — a clean Safe Browsing check is reassuring, but it doesn’t settle it on its own.
