Please repair your AVG Antivirus program and initiate a scan again. To so do, refer the below steps:
- On the Start menu enter Control Panel in the search box and select Control Panel from the results.
- Select Programs > Programs and Features, and then select AVG AntiVirus free.
- Select 'Uninstall' and you will be getting an option to repair.
- Restart your PC to save the changes made.
If the issue persists, do provide us with a screenshot of the scan with the threats found. You can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on "Answer" & then click on the "Image" [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.

I ran a scan today and for the first time got message 'one unsecured threat found'
Rootkit hidden process
but when click the red 'resolve' arrow, and then the 'resolve all' button, it doesn't resolve it. My only option is 'skip' button
are there threats the free version can't resolve ?

thank you so much - the 'repair' option available on the uninstall worked…and after the restart, I re ran the scan - no error message now
